The Unified Smart Scholarly Publishing System
Human Review and Peer Review Before Publication: Trust in Researchers, Human Editorial Decisions, Peer Review Before Publication.
The system’s vision
The Unified Smart Scholarly Publishing System, adopted by Digital Al-Jazari for Artificial Intelligence and Research Innovation (DJAIRI) for its scholarly journals, combines workflow support from smart tools with rigorous scholarly assessment. Technology shortens the time spent on submission, conversion, formatting and tracking; scholarly judgement and the decision to publish remain with people.
We hold that trust in researchers is the starting point and that trust never replaces scholarly verification. No paper is therefore published in the system’s journals before human review, peer review and an accountable editorial decision.
Clear stages before publication
| Stage | What happens | Who decides |
|---|---|---|
| Submission | The author uploads the paper on the journal template; the system checks the file format and page count automatically. | The system (technical checks only) |
| Editorial screening | Fit with the journal’s scope, completeness, sound referencing, and the absence of plagiarism or evident ethical breaches. | The editorial team |
| Peer review | Assessment of originality, methods, findings and contribution. | Specialist reviewers |
| Decision | Accept, request revisions, or reject. | The editorial board |
| Publication | After acceptance and payment of the approved fee, the paper is published and its documents are issued with a verification code. | The editorial board |
Human responsibility
- Decisions to accept, request revisions, reject, publish, correct or retract are taken by human editors.
- AI tools in the system assist with conversion, formatting and checks; they do not replace scholarly judgement.
- Substantive corrections after publication appear in a dated notice, and retractions are documented with a clear notice when serious misconduct is established.
The researcher’s journey at a glance
- Create a researcher account or sign in.
- Upload the paper as an unnumbered Word file of no more than 17 pages.
- Editorial screening and peer review.
- Decision: accept, request revisions, or reject.
- After acceptance: payment of the approved fee, then publication with a certificate and letter of publication carrying a verification code.
